Do you ever have those days when you think God is being silent? God was silent to Job for 37 chapters. Finally in Chapter 38, God spoke to Job in the whirlwind. We have the benefit of seeing what was going on behind the scene as Job struggled with his circumstances and his “friends”. God was silent, but He was still in control. In fact He even talked to Satan during that time, but not to Job. Job’s wife encouraged him to curse God and die. However, Job held on. He was trusting in God, even though he didn’t understand and didn’t hear anything from God.
Then along comes Chapter 38, and all of a sudden things turned around for Job. Maybe you are in chapter 35 or 36, even 37, but be still and know that He is God, chapter 38 is coming! Maybe this year.
Here are some numbers to help bring this home: 20 + 18 = 38! Think about that in this new year 2018!
